Made from 100% steel, welded for strength and with fork-lift inserts, all make for simple and efficient handling & transport.
Their fire containment properties can be further reinforced with a ceramic lined wall option for thermal containment.
These stackable stillages are available in single layer (16 x 20kg bags) or double layer (32 x 20kg bags) stillages.

What are their fire containment properties?
Our dual-skinned steel battery transport stillages are designed for fire containment. When lined with the optional ceramic insulation blanket, they offer additional protection by retaining low thermal conductivity at high temperatures, insulating up to 1200°C, withstanding continuous temperatures of 1050°C, and resisting thermal shock. All essential protections in the event of a thermal runaway event from lithium-ion batteries.

Why does the design of these battery transport stillages matter?
The ACCC recently reported a 92% increase in lithium-ion battery incidents in 2022 compared to 2020, including swelling, overheating, and fires. With the use of lithium-ion batteries expected to grow exponentially each year, systems for their safe and secure transport must be specifically designed to mitigate the risk of thermal runaway events. Any such fires are particularly difficult to extinguish, as they can reignite and, depending on the battery size, burn for days. Securely handling and storing collected batteries significantly reduces the risk to life and property while continuing to build the resilience and efficacy of battery recycling programs.
Why is there no standard price list?
Perhaps because it’s a relatively new needs category, but our experience so far for our Batteryhold products has been that every enquiry has been different in terms of quantities, features, options and customisations, so our standard price list ended up being not very useful to anyone.
